Round steel

Low-alloy structural steel

  • Low-alloy structural steel

Overview

Low alloy structural steel refers to the type of alloy steel with an alloying element content of less than 3%, including many standard and proprietary grades, aimed at providing specific combinations of required characteristics, such as toughness strength, formability, weldability, and atmospheric corrosion resistance.

Product characteristics

High strength: Due to its much higher strength than the same carbon steel, low alloy structural steel is also known as low alloy high strength steel.

Enhanced mechanical properties: Low alloy structural steel is known for its better mechanical properties and atmospheric corrosion resistance than traditional carbon steel

Good cutting and welding performance: Low alloy structural steel can withstand the stress effects of alternating fatigue loads and resist the processing procedures during the production process.
