What are the precautions for storing aluminum zinc magnesium alloy
Aluminum zinc magnesium plating is an alloy coating in coated steel products, with metal element mass fractions of 53% aluminum, 43% zinc, 2% magnesium, 1.5% silicon, and other elements.
Aluminum zinc magnesium coated steel plate is invested and developed by Bosger Steel Group as the main material for steel structure enclosure system roof wall panels, replacing the first generation galvanized steel plate and the second generation aluminum zinc coated steel plate, with corrosion resistance and ultra long service life.
53% aluminum, 43% zinc, 2% magnesium, 1.5% silicon, and other elements. The domestic coating code is AZM.
appearance
The surface of aluminum plated zinc magnesium steel plate has small zinc flakes formed by crystallization, and the neatly arranged small zinc flakes make the appearance of the plated product more natural and delicate. The special resin protective film coated on the surface maintains a smooth metallic luster on the product surface. The zinc flakes on aluminum zinc magnesium steel plates are finer and more uniform than those on aluminum zinc steel plates.
characteristic
The aluminum zinc magnesium coating has corrosion resistance, and the various metal elements in the alloy coating work together to reduce the surface coating consumption rate of the coated steel. At the same time, the corrosion resistance of the cut section of the coated steel is also improved. In most cases, the performance is better than that of aluminum zinc coated steel plates with the same amount of coating, and also better than that of galvanized steel plates.
The service life of aluminum zinc magnesium plated steel plates in general environments exceeds 30 years.
Corrosion resistance principle of aluminum zinc magnesium plating
The aluminum zinc magnesium steel plate using activation technology provides sacrificial protection with zinc in the alloy coating, passivation protection with aluminum. The addition of magnesium element activates the alloy coating, synergistically reducing the consumption rate of the coating with zinc and aluminum, forming an insulating protective layer at the incision and cross-section; Providing barrier protection inside the coating greatly improves the corrosion resistance of the coated steel products.
Storage: Store indoors in a dry, well ventilated area with no chemical pollutants around. If placed outdoors, it should be covered with a rain cloth. It is also not suitable to place it in areas prone to condensation and with large temperature differences.
Transportation: Steel coils must be properly tied and fixed during transportation, with reasonable arrangement of coil positions and covered with rain cloth to ensure transportation safety. After extracting the steel coil from the warehouse, the original packaging of the steel coil should be maintained during transportation, and the padding under the steel coil cannot be removed. The vertical coil should be kept upright and cannot be horizontally or upside down. To avoid damage to the steel coil, care should be taken when handling and loading and unloading the steel coil. Rubber seats should be installed on the transport vehicle or trailer, and rubber pads should be installed at the contact point between the iron chain and the steel coil to avoid surface wear caused by steel plate friction during transportation.
Splitting: The width of the steel coil after cutting should comply with the corresponding tolerance, to avoid burrs on the edges, and to avoid defects such as creases, dents, scratches, imprints, and foreign object attachments that affect subsequent processing and use.
