UPN/UPE
Overview
UPN is an European standard channel steel, which is a hot-rolled carbon structural steel mainly used in building structures, mechanical equipment, and vehicle manufacturing. Due to its lightweight and high-strength characteristics compared to ordinary U-shaped steel, it is also a more economical and environmentally friendly alternative to U-shaped channel steel. Compared to UPN, UPE has a slightly thinner thickness, but has a wider parallel flange, making it easier to weld compared to UPN. At the same time, UPE has characteristics such as lightweight, high strength, economy, and easy processing, which can be used as a substitute for UPN.
