Aluminized silicon
Overview
Aluminum coated silicon (AS) is a commonly used hot-formed steel coating, mainly composed of metal compounds such as aluminum iron and aluminum silicon iron. Al Si coating (AL-10% SI) is a commonly used hot-formed steel coating, which can prevent surface oxidation and decarburization of steel plates and improve their corrosion resistance. Aluminized silicon is renowned for its excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, moisture resistance, high heat reflectivity, and alkali resistance. It is widely used in the manufacturing of automotive reinforcement, as well as small household appliances such as cookware, ovens, grills, and wall mounted stoves.
Product characteristics
The AS coating improves heat resistance and high-temperature oxidation resistance, making it suitable for high-temperature corrosive environments
Hot dip aluminized steel has a high level of thermal reflectivity, which can exhibit a thermal reflectivity of over 80% at temperatures below 400 ℃, making it an ideal coating material for insulation applications
Replacing expensive materials with aluminum plated silicon can reduce overall operating costs
